After a good two month hiatus of giving myself some personal space to deal with a few life things, now is the time to get back to the daily habit of writing.
The best way to get better at something is to practice and to get back into the habit. It will be a bit rusty at first because we’re out of practice. However, the first step is to dive back in. Once we get into the habit of doing something, it won’t take as much energy and effort because it will become second nature.
The only way to get good at something is to do it many, many times.
We have more in common with each other than we think we do. Most of the time it’s the differences that drive us apart. We focus on those instead of the common denominator of being human — the fact that we exist in this world and trying to making a living to get by. Our life goals are different though; some people might prioritize leisure above everything else such as fortune, fame or relationships.
The common thread that we all exhibit is the fact that we are human. Humans make mistakes and are not perfect.
Approachability is defined as ‘the attitude of being easy to meet or deal with.” Nowadays, the skill of being approachability is unusually scarce. How you ever noticed how it’s easier to talk to one person than the other?
Your demeanor is something that people feel and either connect with or don’t connect with right off the bat. Similar to trust, it’s something that is earned after a relationship develops but can easily be lost when you lash out on someone. In a world full of moving parts and everyone has their own individual goals, being able to communicate effectively is super vital in fostering relationships with your teams. As any organized planner knows, timelines are the things they live by. But in life, nothing works in a timeline like how you project manage an assignment. Relationships come and go as we all grow older. Perhaps it’s the way we outgrow each other, whether it may be because we’ve felt more compelled to be with someone else. Friendships certainly fall into this category and is always a two way street.
It’s not worth holding on to people and things that no longer serve you. People come in our lives for a reason at that particular time and place. Wish we could hold onto that moment for longer but life happens. Someone who is your friend today may not be your friend tomorrow — but same goes with your enemies.
