It’s Not Personal

Don’t take criticism personally, it will save you a lot of heartache. For every ‘no’ you receive, consider it their loss.
For instance, if you interview at a company and they decide to go another direction, it’s not you personally, there may just be another candidate out there who was a better fit, at that moment.
Company culture can change over time with new leadership. Just because you weren’t the “right fit” now, doesn’t mean you are not the right fit later on. Or better yet, maybe there is another gig out there that might be better for you and the company. That’s the synergy we all seek.
Feedback is not meant to be personal, with a ‘they are out to get me’ underlying message. It’s simply meant to improve your game, it should be taken objectively on how you can be better.
