Power of Storytelling

As humans, stories resonate with us more than hard facts, even if we are able to remember trivia nuggets just in case we end up on Jeopardy. (RIP Alex Trebek)

There is power in crafting and telling a good story that makes people go “a-ha, I’ve had that feeling before too.” When you’re able to tell someone a good story about yourself, you make an impression on them. The same would also happen if you told them a bad or embarrassing story.

Stories are memories lived by the storyteller. They could be fictional or something that has happened to you. We align with stories because part of being human is caring. And the beauty to that is that we all have one. No matter how unimportant you think yours is, it is yours and no one can take that away.
